Your privacy is very important to us. At SparkTarot® we have a few fundamental principles that we follow:

We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it. (We can’t stand services that ask you for things like your gender or income level for no apparent reason.)

We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.

We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of our site.

It is SparkTarot®’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, SparkTarot® collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. SparkTarot®’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how SparkTarot®’s visitors use its website. From time to time, SparkTarot® may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

SparkTarot® also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on our blogs. SparkTarot® only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to SparkTarot®’s websites choose to interact with SparkTarot®in ways that require SparkTarot® to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that SparkTarot®gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who comment on our blog to provide a username and email address. Those who wish to receive SparkTarot® updates via email, we collect their emails. In each case, SparkTarot® collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with SparkTarot®. SparkTarot® does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

Aggregated Statistics

SparkTarot® may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, SparkTarot® may monitor the most popular pages on the SparkTarot.com site or use spam screened by the Akismet service to help identify spam. SparkTarot® may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, SparkTarot® does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

SparkTarot® discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on SparkTarot®’s behalf or to provide services available at SparkTarot®’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using SparkTarot®’s websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. SparkTarot® will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, SparkTarot® discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when SparkTarot® believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of SparkTarot®, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of an SparkTarot® website and have supplied your email address, SparkTarot® may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with SparkTarot®and our products. We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. SparkTarot® takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. SparkTarot® uses cookies to help SparkTarot® identify and track visitors, their usage of SparkTarot® website, and their website access preferences. SparkTarot® visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using SparkTarot®’s websites, with the drawback that certain features of SparkTarot®’s websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Business Transfers

If SparkTarot®, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that SparkTarot® goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of SparkTarot® may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

Ads

SparkTarot® does not use ads in order to keep your experience ad-free. If SparkTarot® were ever to use ads, this Privacy Policy would covers the use of cookies by SparkTarot® and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.

Comments

Comments and other content submitted to Akismet anti-spam service are not saved on our servers unless they were marked as false positives, in which case we store them long enough to use them to improve the service to avoid future false positives.

We collect information about visitors who comment on Sites that use our Akismet anti-spam service. The information we collect depends on how the User sets up Akismet for the Site, but typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

Sender name, recipient name, recipient email address, delivery date, message, amount and balance of the gift card you have purchased

Akismet

We collect information about visitors who comment on Sites that use our Akismet anti-spam service. The information we collect depends on how the User sets up Akismet for the Site, but typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Mailchimp

When shopping, we keep a record of your email and the cart contents for up to 30 days on our server. This record is kept to repopulate the contents of your cart if you switch devices or needed to come back another day. Read our privacy policy here.

WooCommerce Services

Data Used: For payments with PayPal or Stripe: purchase total, currency, billing information. For taxes: the value of goods in the cart, value of shipping, destination address. For checkout rates: destination address, purchased product IDs, dimensions, weight, and quantities. For shipping labels: customer’s name, address as well as the dimensions, weight, and quantities of purchased products.

Data Synced : For payments, we send the purchase total, currency and customer’s billing information to the respective payment processor. Please see the respective third party’s privacy policy (Stripe’s Privacy Policy and PayPal’s Privacy Policy) for more details. For automated taxes we send the value of goods in the cart, the value of shipping, and the destination address to TaxJar. Please see TaxJar’s Privacy Policy for details about how they handle this information. For checkout rates we send the destination ZIP/postal code and purchased product dimensions, weight and quantities to USPS or Canada Post, depending on the service used. For shipping labels we send the customer’s name, address as well as the dimensions, weight, and quantities of purchased products to EasyPost. We also store the purchased shipping labels on our server to make it easy to reprint them and handle support requests.

WordPress.com Secure Sign On

This feature is only accessible to registered users of the site with WordPress.com accounts.

Data Used: User ID (local site and WordPress.com), role (e.g. administrator), email address, username and display name. Additionally, for activity tracking (see below): IP address, WordPress.com user ID, WordPress.com username, WordPress.com-connected site ID and URL, Jetpack version, user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code.

Activity Tracked: The following usage events are recorded: starting the login process, completing the login process, failing the login process, successfully being redirected after login, and failing to be redirected after login. Several functionality cookies are also set, and these are detailed explicitly in our Cookie documentation.

Data Synced : The user ID and role of any user who successfully signed in via this feature.

WordPress.com Stats

Data Used: IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code. Important: The site owner does not have access to any of this information via this feature. For example, a site owner can see that a specific post has 285 views, but he/she cannot see which specific users/accounts viewed that post. Stats logs — containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) — are retained by Automattic for 28 days and are used for the sole purpose of powering this feature.

Activity Tracked: Post and page views, video plays (if videos are hosted by WordPress.com), outbound link clicks, referring URLs and search engine terms, and country. When this module is enabled, Jetpack also tracks performance on each page load that includes the JavaScript file used for tracking stats. This is exclusively for aggregate performance tracking across Jetpack sites in order to make sure that our plugin and code is not causing performance issues. This includes the tracking of page load times and resource loading duration (image files, JavaScript files, CSS files, etc.). The site owner has the ability to force this feature to honor DNT settings of visitors. By default, DNT is currently not honored.

WordPress.com Toolbar

This feature is only accessible to registered users of the site who are also logged in to WordPress.com.

Data Used: Gravatar image URL of the logged-in user in order to display it in the toolbar and the WordPress.com user ID of the logged-in user. Additionally, for activity tracking (detailed below): IP address, WordPress.com user ID, WordPress.com username, WordPress.com-connected site ID and URL, Jetpack version, user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code.

Activity Tracked: Click actions within the toolbar.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to better reach our ideal customers. Any personal user information is anonymous. Anonymous data may be sent to an aggregate data set to enable features like benchmarking and publications that can help us understand data trends. All identifiable information about customers or SparkTarot is removed and combined with other anonymous data before it is shared with others. Google technical support representatives may access our Google Analytics data and account when necessary to provide service and find solutions to technical issues. Google marketing specialists and Google sales specialists may obtain access to our Google Analytics data and account so they can find ways to improve your configuration and analysis, and share optimization tips with you.

Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, SparkTarot® may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in SparkTarot®’s sole discretion. SparkTarot® encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
