This time of year may be busy culturally, but we are seasonally entering a time of hibernation and stillness. This year, Oct 31 is not only celebrated as Halloween, but also the day of Samhain (pronounced sow’-en). (And El Día de los Muertos is celebrated November 2).
Samhain is the Celtic celebration on the cross-quarter day that marks the very beginning of winter. For the Celts, it was the most celebrated of all the cross-quarter days.
