A Gentle Ritual
There’s no denying that the world is crazy right now. And I know how it feels to be so overwhelmed that it’s difficult to feel ease with anything or even be able to appreciate the moments you know you want to appreciate. This is where The One Card Draw, a morning Tarot ritual, comes in.
When everything seems hard, we sometimes forget about the magic. When I say the magic, I mean the divine energy that suddenly manifests a synchronicity. And the sparks that reveal a delightful moment. And that energy that you feel sometimes where things happen so easily that it’s like—magic.
During hard times, we often feel like there isn’t enough energy for all the stuff that has to get done. That is when “frivolous stuff” like rituals, Tarot, or any kind of self-care, can be the first to go. This is a huge mistake, and here’s why.
This is the thing I finally discovered. Magic is outside of time so there is always room for it to manifest in every facet of your life with ease. When everything feels hard, know that once you open that door to the magic—even just a little—you’ll experience more ease in your life, because that energy will begin to carry you along.
The One Card Draw
One way to introduce that magical energy into your life is the One Card Draw. It’s as simple as choosing a card from your Oracle or Tarot Deck each morning. Place the card somewhere where you can see it all day (I add mine to a mini-altar on my home office desk) and let it guide your day. It can even help refocus you in the middle of the day if needed!
All cards have a message for you—even the ones that seem “scary”. And while I know a Tarot card may not fix all your problems, it can lead the way to opening a channel to the energy that can. When you open yourself up to messages from the universe—what I like to call “magic”—you are communicating with the divine, and will know where to go and how to spend your time in service of your life’s purpose.
